Where painted: From quite a high vantage point overlooking the bridge.

Medium: Gouache, painted on Fabriano ‘not’ surface watercolour paper.

Size: Painted area – approx 14 ins x 10 ins. Will supply in an 18 ins x 14 ins mount.

Inspiration: This was painted for the local Riverside Painting Challenge on 3rd June 2006. I painted it from the seat where I used to go as a child to watch the bands beating retreat from across the river, at the end of the annual riding of the marches festivities.
