Mabie Pond
Where painted: In the small studio at the Tollbooth, Kirkcudbright while I was exhibiting there in 2005.
Medium: Acrylics painted on very strong primed cardboard
Size: 12.5 ins x 17.5 ins – no mount or frame included
Inspiration: I like the Mabie pond because of its long reflections. I had to use a bit of imagination with the colours as there wasn’t much colour in the photos I was using. I painted most of it using my fingers as I couldn’t get the effects I wanted using a brush.
