Inspiration: This is part of a triptych of different views of Castle Street in Kirkcudbright. A feature of Kirkcudbright is the lovely sugared almond paint colours of the buildings. I am often drawn to painting them. A lot of the colours will now have changed since I took the photos, but as someone once said to me, I am painting history.
