Where Painted: In studio at home from a number of photos.
Medium: Watercolour on a white “not” surface paper
Size: 8ins x 10ins, including mount supplied.
Inspiration: This is one of the cats, Bertie, who lives in my neighbourhood, and often comes into my garden. I decided to take some photos of him one day and after doing a few sketches and simplifying the strawberry plants, scabious and Chinese Lanterns in the background of my patio, I came up with this watercolour. Bertie is a half Ragdoll cat, and it was quite difficult to get his greyish-taupe coat the right colour.
