Review of 2018 and look ahead to 2019
Happy New Year 2019 to anyone reading this.
2018 was quite a good year for me on the painting and calligraphy front. I had another exhibition at the Tolbooth Art Centre in Kirkcudbright in July. It was successful and I found it particularly enjoyable, with a lot of pleasant, interesting chats with visitors and good sales. I also had four calligraphy commissions to work on, two of which were fairly large-scale, featuring line drawings. It is good to know that I can now consider pieces involving 300-400 words.
I am currently involved in some book illustration which is another new direction for me. Regrettably I will not be able to have a solo exhibition in 2019, but hope to submit work to some group exhibitions locally.
Look out for some new additions to the online gallery in the near future.
